About the Role


EOF is an innovative financing instrument that collaborates with governments, non-profits, and private partners to combat learning poverty and youth unemployment. As a result, you will work closely with the EOF team to manage large datasets, streamline workflows through automation, and support decision-making processes with data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities


The internship provides a comprehensive learning experience focused on data science and development finance. Therefore, you will perform the following key tasks:

  • Data Management & Engineering: Oversee the onboarding and structuring of datasets into the Azure platform. You will also build efficient data pipelines and manage access permissions to uphold data integrity.

  • Analytics & AI: Clean and analyze data using Python. Furthermore, you will participate in the development of AI tools, including chatbots, and create predictive models for ROI projections.

  • Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI. In addition, you will assist in facilitating academic collaborations and support data accessibility for internal teams.

Qualifications for UNICEF Data Internship


  • Education: You must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate (within two years) of, a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.

  • Skills: You need a proven interest in data science through academic work or personal projects. Experience with Python, data visualization tools, and familiarity with AI/ML applications is preferred.

  • Other Requirements: You must have fluency in English and be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Logistics FOR UNICEF Data Internship


  • Duration: This is a six-month, full-time internship.

  • Start Date: The expected start date is September or October 2025.

  • Stipend: The internship is paid. The stipend is approximately $1,700 per month for candidates located in New York, Geneva, or Copenhagen. For all other locations, the stipend is 70% of a UN GS level 3, step 1 salary.

  • What is the application process? You must submit your resume and cover letter via the UNICEF Careers Portal. Shortlisted candidates will complete a written test followed by two rounds of interviews.

  • Do I need a UK work visa? Yes, you must have eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship. The Education Outcomes Fund cannot sponsor work visas for this internship.
