The UNDP’s Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) is offering a paid, remote internship for an outstanding graduate-level student. This is a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to UNDP’s global work and contribute to its Skills Development portfolio. The role focuses on leveraging the private sector to drive progress in entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
About the Role
ICPSD, a UNDP Global Policy Center, supports the private sector and foundations in becoming transformative partners in development. Consequently, this internship provides hands-on experience in applied research and policy advisory services. You will directly contribute to data collection, analysis, report writing, and partnerships aimed at increasing job and livelihood opportunities for disadvantaged groups.
Research and Partnerships Intern
Key Responsibilities
A successful intern will perform the following main duties:

Research & Writing: Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on the private sector’s role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, you will provide writing, editing, and proofreading support for reports and publications.

Communications & Outreach: Prepare relevant communications materials, including speeches, brochures, success stories, and social media content. In addition, you will collaborate on the development and execution of online campaigns across various social media channels.

Project Support: Assist with the organization of conferences, workshops, and other events. You will also contribute to the design and implementation of new initiatives and projects. Finally, you will provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications for UNDP Research Intern

Education: You must be enrolled in a second university degree program (Master’s) or in the final academic year of a first university degree program (Bachelor’s). A recent graduate (within one year of graduation) with a degree in economics, finance, business administration, international relations, or a similar field may also apply.

Experience: You need solid experience in academic writing, research, and analysis with a focus on digital transformation, private sector development, and skills. Experience with social media account management and content development is desirable.

Languages: Fluency in both English and Turkish is required. Fluency in French is considered an asset.
Compensation & Logistics

Location: 100% home-based. No travel is required.

Stipend: Interns will receive a monthly stipend according to UNDP Internship Policies, unless another institution or program provides financial support.

Insurance: You must have valid medical and life/accident insurance for the duration of the internship. UNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents or illness during the internship.
