The Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict (SRSG-CAAC) is seeking a UN Public Information Intern to support its crucial mission. Indeed, this unique opportunity allows a motivated individual to contribute directly to efforts that protect children affected by armed conflict. The internship offers the flexibility of an in-person role in New York or a remote position, and the office considers both full-time and part-time modalities.

As a member of the Public Information team, this UN Public Information Intern will, in fact, contribute to a range of tasks, including media monitoring, content creation, and event organization.
Key Responsibilities for this Media Intern

Content & Media Support: The intern provides support in tasks including media monitoring and analysis, drafting and editing of content for print, web, and multimedia.

Digital Communication: The intern assists with updates to the Office’s website and social media channels.

Event Coordination: The intern helps organize special events at the UN, focusing on themes related to children and armed conflict.

Administrative Support: Additionally, the intern performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements for a Communications Intern

Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or have completed, a university program (bachelor’s degree or higher).
