The United Nations Office of Administration of Justice (OAJ), accordingly, is actively seeking an Intern – Information Systems and Communication Technology. This unique opportunity, located either in New York or remotely within the United States, welcomes individuals looking to make a significant difference. OAJ is an independent office. It coordinates the administration of justice system, ensuring its fair, transparent, and efficient operation. We provide substantive, technical, and administrative support to the UN Dispute and Appeals Tribunals through their Registries. Furthermore, we assist staff members with claims via the Office of Staff Legal Assistance and support the Internal Justice Council. This Information Systems Intern role offers a genuine impact.
This internship typically spans three to six months, with a desired start date of November 2025. While full-time (35 hours per week) is standard, we can consider part-time arrangements. Key Responsibilities for Our Information Systems and Communication Technology Intern
As an Information Systems and Communication Technology Intern, you will perform tasks under the IT Officer’s supervision. Your daily responsibilities will vary based on your background and assigned business unit. However, typical tasks may include:

Strategic Communication & Outreach: Assist the Office with strategic communication and outreach efforts.

Content Development: Draft and edit content for public information materials, including social media posts and website articles. Additionally, help develop content to increase awareness of the UN’s internal justice system.

Print Publications: Assist with drafting and editing print publications such as brochures and newsletters.

Presentation Design: Design and produce presentations and supporting materials for outreach activities.

Website & E-learning Support: Provide assistance in improving website functionality and e-learning platforms. Also, help check the website for broken or inconsistently designed pages, ensuring adherence to UN Web Guidelines.

E-learning Production: Support the production of e-learning courses by coordinating with relevant departments.

Administrative Support: Assist in administrative and substantive support for meetings and conferences, including preparing background documents, presentations, and handling logistics.

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, you must meet the following conditions:
