Key Responsibilities for This Information Management Role
As an Information Management Intern, you will be instrumental as you:

Coordinate with the Information Management Unit (IMU/DPPA-DPO) and DDR/IT Officers to develop and refine the DDR Information Management System (IMS).

Conduct current state analysis of existing DDR databases, subsequently identifying best practices and critical gaps.

Lead requirements gathering sessions with diverse project stakeholders, thereby defining system needs.

Visualize complex requirements by designing UML diagrams (Use Case, Class, Activity, etc.).

Create business process diagrams adhering to BPMN standards, consequently modeling workflows.

Design Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) to represent data relationships.

Research and evaluate external technologies within UN agencies, funds, programs, and the private sector.

Define project workflows in close coordination with IMU/DPPA-DPO and DDR/IT Officers.

Draft Functional Requirement Documents and other essential project documentation, in close coordination with IMU/DPPA-DPO and DDR/IT Officers.

Provide expert advice on data codification and confidentiality, including establishing security protocols and defining and implementing access control mechanisms to all DDR data.

Develop user guides, train relevant staff in the use of the DDR/IMS, define operational procedures, and assist with DDR/IMS applications and report generation.

We are looking for candidates who meet one of the following academic criteria:

Currently enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate-level program (Master’s or Ph.D. equivalent or higher).
