The UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) is offering an internship for an Electoral Analyst Intern UN. You will support the Electoral Assistance Division (EAD), which plays a key role in ensuring coordination and consistency across all UN electoral assistance efforts in the field.

Your Responsibilities as an Electoral Analyst Intern
As an Electoral Analyst Intern UN, you will assist the EAD with a variety of tasks that support its daily operations. Your duties may include:

Drafting and Correspondence: You will assist in drafting and preparing official documents, which include background papers, talking points, briefing materials, and speeches.

Meeting Support: You will attend and take notes during trainings, conferences, and meetings. You will also assist with the logistical preparations for these events.

Data and Research: You will conduct research, perform media analysis, and assist with the institutional memory database. You will also gather, analyze, and update country-specific information to support the creation of dashboards and reports.

Other Duties: You will support interactive presentations, perform ad-hoc data analysis, and present your findings clearly.

We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background and a keen interest in electoral affairs.

Educational Background: You must be a student in the final year of your first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), a Master’s, or a Ph.D. program. You may also apply if you have recently completed one of these programs. You must provide official proof of enrollment or graduation.

Language Requirements: You must have fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of an additional UN language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish, is a definite asset.
