Consequently, you will gain hands-on experience by contributing to fundraising strategies and helping to secure the resources needed to protect civilians in conflict zones. In this position, you’ll be at the forefront of crafting powerful stories that connect donors to our critical work.
The Role of the Development Intern
This Development Intern position is a unique opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of an international nonprofit. Furthermore, you will be fully integrated into the Development team and contribute to meaningful projects, building skills in research, writing, and donor engagement.
Key functions for this nonprofit internship include:

Grant Proposals: You will assist with the development of grant proposals. Specifically, this includes writing narratives, developing theories of change, drafting logical frameworks, and copy-editing. This is a core part of the grant writing internship.

Rigorous Research: You will conduct rigorous desk research to produce accurate and up-to-date context statements. Moreover, you will analyze calls for proposals and contribute to pre-positioning efforts.

Fundraising Strategy: You will support the development and implementation of fundraising strategies.

Donor Communications: You will help edit proposals and communication materials for clarity and precision. In addition, you will represent the team by attending conferences and policy meetings.

Qualifications for a Fundraising Intern
The ideal candidate for this Development Intern New York role is a current undergraduate or graduate student who is a self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
Key Qualifications:

This is an unpaid internship; however, a stipend will be provided. In addition, we can arrange for academic credit. We require a commitment of at least 20 hours per week for a minimum of three months.
