The United Nations is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Intern to join the Division of Healthcare Management and Occupational Safety and Health (DHMOSH). This unique UN internship opportunity allows you to support global operational efforts. You will contribute to administrative, data management, and operational tasks. Consequently, you will gain hands-on experience in a vibrant and multicultural environment. We are looking for an Administrative Intern in New York or remotely for a period of 2 to 4 months, with an ideal start date of September 1, 2025.
Your Role as a UN Administrative Intern
You will work within the Department of Operational Support (DOS) in New York, though remote work is a possibility. You can choose to work either full-time or part-time. Your responsibilities, in particular, will include:

File Organization: You will organize the ICSC folder of the DHMOSH Share Drive.

Data Management: You will assist a Medical Officer in charge with the development of an electronic data collecting and analysis system for healthcare assessments. This is a key part of your work as a DOS internship participant.

Meeting Participation: You will participate in meetings of the ICSC work group.

Administrative Tasks: Furthermore, you will perform any other administrative duties as requested by the Occupational Safety and Health Section Chief.

Qualifications for the UN Administrative Internship
To qualify for this Administrative Intern position, you must meet one of the following requirements:

You are currently enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent or higher).

Alternatively, you are enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (Bachelor’s level or equivalent).

Finally, you have graduated with a university degree (secondary or first level).
You must have a field of study that is closely related to the work of DHMOSH. While we do not require professional work experience for this UN Administrative Internship, you must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). An orientation in statistical data analytics is desirable. You should have a background in public health or data management.
You must be fluent in spoken and written English. Moreover, knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
Additional Information
This is an unpaid internship. All costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are your responsibility. For this in-person position, candidates who are not US citizens or permanent residents will need to obtain a G-4 visa.
