The Opportunity: USAID CARI Program – Remote Graphic Design Consultant
Creative Associates International is currently soliciting offers for Short-term Technical Assistance (STTA) for the USAID-funded Central America Regional Initiative (CARI) Program. Specifically, CARI is a regional program of USAID/OTI that contributes to the U.S. government’s efforts to address the root causes of irregular migration from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
Consequently, this proposed STTA will provide essential graphic design assistance in preparing and developing graphics for CARI’s final report. Therefore, Creative Associates is seeking a Remote Graphic Design Consultant to support this final report preparation across CARI’s three focus countries: Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. Ultimately, the Graphic Design Consultant will work under the general supervision of the CARI Communications Officer, Sr. Project Manager, and Sr. Project Director.

Remote Graphic Design Consultant Intern
Responsibilities of the Graphic Design Consultant
As a Graphic Design Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

Developing high-quality designs and graphics for a final report, ensuring all materials align with the company brand and contract solicitation specifications.

Moreover, independently creating proposal graphics from sketches or verbal requests, ensuring compliance and clarity.

Reviewing and advising on proposal layout and graphics.

In addition, contributing to building and maintaining a graphics repository for business development efforts.

Providing other graphics support that meets Creative’s needs, as requested.

Furthermore, attending work meetings with the CARI team for coordination, information transfer for consultancy development, and product approval.

Designing graphics, flows, and infographics that accurately represent the results shared by CARI.

Also, designing a document in .doc and PDF format that includes visual materials and systematization of the CARI program in both Spanish and English.

Coordinating and sharing all communication materials with the CARI team for approval.
Qualifications for this Remote Design Role
Required Qualifications:

Five years of experience as a graphic designer.

Advanced software expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).

Furthermore, strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

A portfolio showcasing creativity, layout skills, and analytical thinking.

Specifically, keen eye for visual composition and detail, particularly as it pertains to developing infographics.

Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Moreover, openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Proven experience in graphic design and layout of reports/information.

Creative skills to design attractive visual elements consistent with the brand/project’s visual identity.
